On Halloween, the Ranger Band ended their marching season with their Micheal Jackson show. They performed Thriller, Bad and Billie Jean after a morning of performing pep tunes and the fight song for Ranger Preview.
Now they ask for more college students to join them for the rest of this semester and for Spring of 2027. This Wednesday the band opened its doors for anyone who wishes to join. You don’t need to audition for entry, just arrive or email Dr. Corey Burton at caburton@nwosu.edu.
The Ranger Band welcomes anyone who wishes to join it! If you missed yesterday, you can still come by Friday at 3:30pm at the First Presbyterian Church after the current band members get their auditions done for chair placements. The band meets at 3pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. If you have played an instrument and wish to pick it up again, now’s your chance! There is also a jazz band that you can join as well that meets at the same time on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the First Presbyterian Church.
The Ranger Band hopes to grow and they need you to help! If you haven’t played an instrument, you can still learn, and you might even know someone who has. The band would love to see you join them!
